Fight Back With Fitness (FBWF)
We run four FBWF programs each year, each lasting 8 weeks, Women who have been cared for by a Blush Breast Cancer Nurse during their treatment are invited to join, regardless of size, age, or fitness level.
The program runs 3 days a week, usually in the morning, with each session lasting one hour. Participants receive a free DEXA Scan at the start and end of the program to track changes in body composition, courtesy of QLD X-ray.
There are many paths to fitness. FBWF is we believe a great place to start but if you want more information or want to explore other paths, please contact the Blush Breast Care Nurses with any queries. They are happy to answer any questions and support your inclusion in the group.

B Aqua
Aqua aerobics benefits people undergoing chemotherapy by being low-impact, which reduces joint strain, and by providing resistance that improves cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and flexibility.
It also promotes relaxation, boosts mood, and can enhance sleep quality. Additionally, it supports immune function and offers social interaction.
B Aqua classes will run at various times during the year. We welcome your enquiry about this wonderful program.

Advanced Breast Cancer (ABC) Support Group
Living with advanced breast cancer can be isolating. Connecting with others who understand is often comforting.
The Toowoomba & Darling Downs Advanced Breast Cancer (ABC) Group shares information and support, facilitated by a psychologist and breast care nurse. Members can listen or contribute to discussions as they wish.
We have meetings every second Wednesday of the month from 11am at City Golf Club. If you’re interested in finding out more, send an email through to one of our Breast Care nurses.

Young Women’s Support Group
This group has been developed to care for younger patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Around 1,000 young women aged under 40 are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, equivalent to about 3 young women each day in Australia.
In addition to Blush’s accepted patient care the Young Women’s Support Group convenes regularly, with the support of a clinical psychologist, to address issues that may be more pertinent in the setting of a Breast Cancer diagnosis in a younger patient.
We welcome you to contact us about joining this lovely group.
